Pulp Friction

This was one of Byron's alternative-dance-spectaculars at the Asylum. It felt kinda good to shoot some intentionally out-of-focus hyper-noisy pics from the hip as a "fuck you" to my generally anal photographic tendencies.

Rob, these are fantastic images. I really love the tension between movement and stillness you create. The choice of out of focus is a good one. I am working hard to find information. There is a tension between allowing the figures to move to complete color regions and to discern activity. The high-key theatrical lighting is also nice: I imagine a rigorous plotting of space but I can see so little of the action. I like these a lot. Will write more soon. I hope all is well with you.
